SURGERY

Department of surgery of Specialized hospital Ars Medica offers wide spectrum of surgical procedures in the fields of thoracic surgery, general and abdominal surgery, pediatric surgery and urology, and vascular surgery.

The department consists of three units – surgical unit, polyclinic unit and apartment suite offering 24-h medical care.

Surgical unit consists of three modern surgical theatres, containing the advanced system for gas management and air sterility, department for sterilization, and the intensive care unit offering 24-h medical care. Surgical theatres contain technical capacities for performance of wide range of laparoscopic, laser and classical surgeries.

Polyclinic is specialized unit consisting of examination rooms for cardiology, gastroenterology, surgery, ultrasound diagnostics, endocrinology and biochemical laboratory. Polyclinic unit represents a center for initial pre-operative diagnostics, where the patients have an access to all the necessary analytics, diagnostics and advice related to the potential surgical and alternative treatments.

Apartment suite

Apartment suite consists of 9 luxury hospital apartments and 18 hospital beds, offering the possibility of both single and double room. The suite has 24 h reception desk offering constant medical care provided by the on-duty doctor and nurse, in order to provide maximum comfort and timely patient recovery.

LASER SURGERY

Laser surgery encompasses a wide range of operative procedures that can be preformed in the operating theatre of Specialized hospital Ars Medica.

Frequently preformed laser surgeries include minimally invasive treatments of haemorrhoidal diseases using diode laser, also known as laser haemorrhoidoplasty (LHP). Other pathologies treated using minimally invasive laser surgery are pilonidal sinus (infected sinus tract) and perianal fistulas.

One of the advantages of laser surgery are minimally invasive approach, comfort and shorter post-operative recovery.
